Landscape Design Services
Start planning now to create a beautiful garden for next
spring. Designer Tess Barry will work with you on the specific area of
your yard that you want to landscape first. An appointment of 1½ hours
will include a private consultation to produce your design and see plant
selections on the nursery yard. When you leave, you will have an 11x17
sketched design so that you can implement your plan. To make an
appointment with our designer, call the nursery at 458-9864 or talk with
one of our salespeople. Appointments will be scheduled for Tuesdays,
Wednesdays or Thursdays at
10 a.m., 12
noon or
2 p.m. The fee of $135
is due at the time you schedule your appointment. Take advantage of this
service to get your garden ready for fall planting!
Pansies for Fall
Pansies and violas give wonderful color through our winter and early
spring, but dont rush in to buy them yet. We will bring in our pansies
about the third week of September. We wait that long to let temperatures
cool off a bit. Pansies planted too early will become leggy and weak. To
get the biggest show of color, be sure to work one bag each of mushroom
compost and soil conditioner into the soil for every flat of flowers you
plant. Each flat covers approximately 25-30 square feet. We sell flats of
36 large-plug flowers. Pansies are heavy feeders, so be sure to use a slow
release fertilizer such as Colorburst (15-30-15) at time of planting and
every 6-8 weeks thereafter. |
