The South's answer to Colorado Blue Spruce! - Yes,
it IS too hot here for Blue Spruce, but 'Blue Ice' loves our heat and
has the best blue-grey foliage year-round for our Southern climate!
'Blue Ice' grows in a columnar shape, much narrower than another
popular Arizona cypress cultivar, 'Carolina Sapphire'.
Plant as a specimen in the border or space 5-6' apart for a hedge or
screening. Also nice in large containers as a colorful accent.
See the five 'Blue Ice' we've planted across the front of the nursery,
underplanted with white 'Sea Foam' roses.
'Blue Ice' matures at 15-20' tall by only 6-8' wide. May easily
maintain at 8-10' with once-a-year trimming. Expect 1-2' of growth a
year.
Plant in sun to very light shade
