Grown for its large, rounded leaves (like a full moon) which emerge
YELLOW & PINK in early spring, turn green in summer, then develop the
brightest YELLOW & ORANGE fall color before dropping for winter.
The
perfect small specimen tree for next to the deck or patio. Unlike
other "Full Moon" Japanese maples, 'Oisami' is extremely heat-tolerant
and will thrive in ALL-DAY summer sun so long as not allowed to dry
out during dry weather.
In
our area, 'Oisami' grows to 15-20' tall by 10-12' wide.
Expect about 12" of growth a year.
Plant in sun to light shade.
