Grown for its great profusion of delicate, single,
WHITE flowers in spring (April or May in our area) before leaves
emerge.
Plant as a specimen in the lawn or space trees 10-15' apart when
planting in groups of three or more.
In fall, leaves turn bright yellow before dropping for winter.
'Yoshino' is the cherry celebrated in Washington, DC each spring!
See the 'Yoshino' we've planted near the bog at the bottom of our
display garden.
'Yoshino' matures at 30' or taller by 20' wide.
Expect 1-2' growth a year.
Plant in sun to very light shade. |
