Also known as "Fortune's Tea Olive", this Southern
favorite is grown for its small, FRAGRANT WHITE flowers which cover
the plant in October and for its Winter cold-hardiness.
Fortune's Tea Olive is more COLD-HARDY than Fragrant Tea Olive. It
suffers no leaf-burn in Winter, whereas Fragrant Tea Olive may suffer
some damaged leaves if planted in a spot which receives lots of cold
Winter wind. Fortune's Tea Olive retains its dark-green leaves
year-round.
