Eastern Red Cedar

(Juniperus virginiana)

Grown for its attractive, dense foliage which grows tall, but narrow - Perfect for tall screening in areas where you can't use much width.

Plant alone as a specimen in the border or at the corner of your home for vertical accent.

Space 6-8' apart when planting as a hedge or screen.

Eastern Red Cedars grow quickly to 25' or taller by 6-8' wide.  Plants may be left untrimmed for tall natural screening in the garden or may be pruned once or twice a year to maintain as a formal hedge.
Expect 2-3' of growth a year.

Plant in sun to light shade.  Plants are very drought-tolerant after their first year in the garden.
