This hybrid red maple is a majestic
shade tree grown for its awesome fall color and for its faster growth
rate than seedling red maples.
'Autumn Blaze' develops RED to REDDISH-ORANGE fall color. However,
fall air and soil temperatures and moisture will affect the leaf color
from year to year.
'Autumn Blaze' typically colors up in October while the other popular
hybrid red maple we offer, 'October Glory', colors 2-4 weeks later.
Color lasts for 3-4 weeks before leaves drop for winter.
In spring, before leafing out, 'Autumn Blaze' produces the attractive
red flowers for which "red" maples are named.
Trees mature at 40' or taller by 30' or wider.
Expect
2-3' growth a year.
Plant in all-day sun to light shade. |
